一、专业培养目标和要求/Education Objective andProfessional Requirements

1.1培养目标/objective

本专业以掌握过程原理和装备设计为目标，通过不同过程装备基础课以及主干课程的学习，使学生掌握过程装备设计、制造、运行、维护及管理等相关的力学、机械、现代控制技术等宽厚的基础理论，把学生培养成具有从事研发、设计、教育和管理等能力的高级工程技术与科学管理的人才。

This major aims to train students with basic theories of mechanics,engineeringand control for equipment design,manufacture,operation,maintenance andadministration throughbasic and major courses studies. Students can be engaged inR&D,design, teaching or management after completing the required courses.

1.2专业要求/Professional Requirements

1.专业能力/ProfessionalAbilities

(1) 掌握数学、物理等自然科学知识和一般性工程技术知识；了解现代过程装

备的设计制造技术；掌握装备工程中解决实际问题的方法。

Grasp natural sciences such as mathematics, physics and general knowledge onengineering technology and gain a basic understanding on R&D of process equipmentand be able to solve practical problems encountered in process engineering;

(2) 了解过程装备与控制工程中相关的法律法规、方针政策。

Understand relevant laws and regulations on process equipment and controlengineering.

(3) 具有对技术经济性进行分析判断的能力，兼有一定的企业管理知识。

Have the ability to analyze technological economy, and gain the basicknowledge on enterprise management.

2.语言能力/ Language skills

具有熟练的英语口语、听力、写作和交流能力，胜任完全英语环境下的学习、生活及相关工作。

The students are expected to be fluent in English speaking, listening, writing andcommunication, competent in work that requires a complete English environment.

3.发展潜力/ Potential

二、学制与学位/Study Period and Degree

本专业基本学制四年，按培养计划修完全部学分之后，达到毕业要求，授予大连理工大学的过程装备与控制工程专业和莱斯特大学机械专业两个工学学士学位。

The essential duration of study for this major is four years. After earning all thecredits and satisfying the graduation requirements, students will be awarded dualengineering bachelor’s degree from both DUT (Process Equipment and ControlEngineering) and UoL (Mechanical Engineering).
