【Learning in DLI】DLI IELTS Test experience sharing meeting came to a successful end

In order to help students clarify the direction of IELTS study, improve IELTS scores, and prepare for the test efficiently, DLI held an IELTS test experience sharing meeting, which invited Sun Yuanzhi, a 2017 undergraduate process equipment and control engineering major, as the main speaker on May 31. Sun’s sharing is mainly about four contents of IELTS: listening, reading, speaking and writing.

Part One Listening

Sun introduced the types and characteristics of this part and focused on answering techniques and cautions. He emphasized the need to look for key words, plan the reading order, keep focus, and pay attention to the requirements of the test. For practice methods, he suggested listening tothenews as a daily practiceand recommended some Apps for listening practice and good methods for vocabulary accumulation.

Part Two Reading

In terms of reading, Sun stressed that the reading time of the three articles should not be divided equally, but allocated reasonably according to length and difficulty. He recommended the students to practice the Cambridge IELTS tests regularly.

Part Three Speaking

In terms of speaking, Sun explained the skills in fluency, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and other aspectsand emphasizedthe importance of daily accumulation and practice.

Part Four Writing

Sun made a detailed introductionregardingto the requirements of question type, composition structure and question type in the writing part.

This experience sharing meeting aims to help more students improve their English ability by building a platform for students to communicate with each other, allowing excellent students to share their learning experiences and learning skills.
