The "Charm of Speaking" English Speaking Competition focuses on building up an English learning atmosphere for students on campus. It is a better opportunity for college students to extend their altitude and sprite. Moreover, on the University of Leicester 100th anniversary, we would like to provide students with a platform to change for the best. The details of the competition are as follow:

Calendar:
The competition includes three parts: the preliminary contest, the final contest and a training program. Candidates are required to recite and reading draft will be failing
Preliminary contest: take place on 17, March, topics given (one of six), 5-8minites limited, the first half of the rank could attend the final contest.

According to the competition's arrangement and necessity, DLI will provide candidates who succeed in the preliminary contest with a training program that includes specific English speaking and etiquette knowledge.
Final contest: choose a topic in bland on 30, March, take place on 31 March, 3 minutes will be given to candidates for a speech without enough preparation.
Standard:
Candidate skills in English speech will be valued. It is required that the topic and content should be proper.

Awards Setting: one First Prize, two Second Prize and three Third Prize
Prize Setting:
First Prize: provide two thousand worth of tuition fee for IELTS and TOEFL and a customized paper notebook.
Second Prize: provide five hundred worth of Bluetooth headset and a customized bookmark
Third Prize: provide two hundred worth of one-year VIP account of English learning APP and a customized roller pen
