In order to help freshmen adjust to campus life as quickly as possible and enhance class cohesion, Leicester International Institute, Dalian University of Technology DLI held a group tutoring activity on the playground on October 26, 2022. This activity was supported by all the classes of 2022.

Aiming at releasing the pressure from the busy coursework, the group tutorial was held in the form of “diverting sports meeting” to maintain psychological health. What’s more, some “groups sports” such as rope skipping and tug-of-war were introduced to create an interactive and cooperative atmosphere. It’s undeniable that through this group tutorial, students got to know each other better and became more bounded, and also, the team consciousness was enhanced to promote the class collective development.

Group tutoring activity is divided into two halves. In the first half, there were musical chairs, nine people ten feet and intellectual relay race, which made students feel relaxed and happy. At the same time, the first half of the activity was more strategic and less sportive, so that the students were fully prepared for the second half of the competitive events.

The second half part of group counselling consisted of jumping rope, tug-of-war, tearing brand name and a circle in the end'. It obviously highlighted the sport's competitive and collective nature. The students really reflected the group cohesion and collective sense of honor. They also promoted the construction of the college group and the class style culture. The group counselling truly achieved the participation of everyone.

This group counseling activity alleviated the pressure of students, adjusted their physical and mental health and also demonstrated the youth vitality, enterprising motivation and fighting strength of college students. In the coming time, the Sunshine Heart Association of DLI will also continue to hold various mental health activities. On the way of growth, we will accompany each other.
