After a busy examination week, engineering students of DLI went to the Chemical Machinery and safety Department of the School of Chemical Engineering in Lingshui Campus in order to promote the communication between two institutes and deepen students' understanding of their majors. Associate Professor Zhou Yihui and Associate Professor Wu Jintao attached great importance to this activity and warmly welcomed the visiting students.

In the morning, Professor Zhou greeted the visiting college students and introduced the overall situation of the department, including the information of faculty, platform, resources of institute and the main research. Professor Yin, Professor Liu, Associate Professor Liu, as well as doctoral students introduced the academic research projects of each research group in the department, which fully demonstrated their academic research capabilities and some significant research achievements of their fields.

In the afternoon, Professor Wu led DLI students to visit the laboratories of various research groups and arranged professional teachers and graduate students to give overall explanations to the students. During the visit, the students actively raised questions and ideas, discussed and communicated with teachers and graduates, which gradually stimulated the students' enthusiasm for learning. The lab visits enabled students to know about the lab equipment and promoted the students' enthusiasm for learning.

This learning activity not only realized the resource sharing between two institutions, but also deepened the students’ understanding of engineering major, which lays solid foundation for their further learning.
