DUT-BSU Joint Institute and Leicester International Institute held Exchange Conference on Sino-overseas Cooperation in running school

In October, in order to further deepen the substantive cooperation and exchange between Sino-overseas cooperation in running school of DUT, Ji Shunying, the Dean of the Joint Institute of the Dalian University of Technology and Belarusian State University (DUT-BSU Joint Institute) organized a delegation of five teachers to Leicester International Institute, Dalian University of Technology(DLI) for exchange and study. Zhan Jingjing, President Assistant and the Dean of DLI, Tan Zhenquan and Zhao Lingling the Deputy Deans of DLI, Gao Junfeng, the Deputy Dean of DUT-BSU Joint Institute, and relevant staff of the two institutes attended the symposium to jointly discuss the experience and development path of Sino-overseas cooperation in running schools under the new situation.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Zhan Jingjing warmly welcomed the visit of the DUT-BSU Joint Institute and introduced DLI's education and cultivation ideas and future development plans. He stressed that we should introduce and make good use of international high-quality teaching and management resources, identify the starting point of cooperation, strengthen international scientific research and innovation cooperation in an all-round way, and promote international scientific research cooperation towards the mutual benefit and win-win results.

 

Ji Shunying introduced his work, teaching and research, international exchanges, school running characteristics, development ideas, etc. He said that the Sino-overseas characteristics of running schools should highlight "quality", "innovation" and "uniqueness". He hoped that the two institutes would work together to become high-level institutions for international talent training.

 

Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the main problems and challenges faced in the current cooperative school running process, put forward new ideas and measures in teaching reform, teacher building and other aspects, and exchanged views on specific issues and reached a preliminary consensus.

 

This investigation and exchange have further deepened the friendly relationship between the two institutes and provided a good reference for them in teaching reform, talent training, scientific research cooperation, etc. It is hoped that both sides will take this meeting as an opportunity to work hard, aim at world-class together, and strive to improve the level of international education.
