To strengthen the concept of serving the scientific research work of teachers and students of the campus, the Instrumental Analysis and Research Center held special reports on maxi-instruments in November 2022. More than 82 students and teachers attended in total. The reports cover the basic principles of the instruments, experimental method design, sample preparation and other issues of concern by teachers and students. The Center staff also provided assistance for teachers and students to carry out efficient analysis and testing.

Chen Qian answered the three FAQs proposed by teachers and students and explained the principle of scanning electron microscop（SEM）for them. Students who obtained perfect results in the class quiz could try the SEM for one hour for their own experiments. Zhao Xiuming, focusing on the principle and functions, introduced the applications and symptoms of atomic force microscope (AFM). Using specific data, Wei Lijuan explained the influence of various experimental parameters on the thermal analysis test results in detail. Sun Dongye, mentioned the pretreatment methods of various samples according to the features of ICP-MS. Li Shaojie demonstrated to students that how to use the TEM data analysis software. Liu Feng showed the applications of XPS depended on analyzing experiment cases.  

The reports started from the principle of instruments, combined with the case analysis in scientific research and summed up the analysis and testing center in the daily work of the teachers and students. It played a leading role in solving problems for campus teachers and students in their research work.
