A total of 1300 graduates and more than 200 postgraduates arrived on the Panjin Campus on 31 August to pursue new chapters of their lives.

From morning to afternoon, the Vice President of DUT, Prof. Yao Shan, the President Assistant of DUT, Prof. Zhan Jingjing and the leaders of the Administration Committee of Panjin Campus experienced the registration process which made sure that new students could be provided with considerate service. They also gave the welcome arrival package to some new students on behalf of the Panjin Campus. Food security regarded as one of the most significant issues is always paid high attention. Also, Prof. Yao, Prof. Zhan and other leaders and faculty joined in the birthday party of a new student and expressed wishes to her. As a special gift, the lovely birthday party was held by the tutor and her dorm mates. Not only to celebrate her birthday but also to keep this day in mind when they are embarking on a new journey together. Moreover, Prof. Yao Shan took part in a series of sessions such as students good role models reports, and parents’ meeting and communicated with students’ parents in person which enabled them to learn more about campus.

New students received a warm welcome from Campus volunteers. They picked the new students up at the railway stations, helped them to go through the registration process, gave hand to them for carrying their luggage, guided a campus tour for their families and so on.

At the beginning of the new semester, we wish new students a colourful campus life and hope them to maintain their original aspirations.
