Brief introduction of Student-staff committee(SSC)

SSC is an important communication channel hosted by students and participated by representatives of teachers and students, which aims to promote the comprehensive and healthy development of teaching, scientific research, construction and other aspects of the Institute. SSC is committed to providing students with formal channels for timely and effective feedback on suggestions and opinions in study and life.

 

When is the meeting?

The SSC meeting is held twice a semester.

 

How does it work?

Before the meeting, the student representatives collect issues from students of all majors and grades and propose them to the SSC meeting for discussion. The plans adopted at the meeting will continue to be implemented after the meeting. The student representatives are responsible for feeding back the decisions of the SSC meeting to the students timely.

 

How to be a student rep?

1. Skillful in English communication and writing;

2. Study hard and be good at finding and summarizing problems in learning;

3. Be fond of student work, be proactive, have a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to reasonably arrange study and work time;

4. Be willing to speak out for students and feed back the ideas and needs of the masses.

 

What can you get from this job?

Being a student rep is a great way to improve the ability of communication and coordination, as well as showing that you are willing to go above and beyond to make a difference. As a student rep you can also obtain a letter of recommendation from the British Dean of DLI if you are considered as an excellent rep.

 

How to propose your issue?

The SSC meeting is keen on solving problems in learning and teaching.The channel of proposing your ideas and suggestions is available at anytime in the semester. It is hoped that you can describe your questions clearly and specify what kind of help you need.
