Safety guidelines

The onset of autumn and winter is a time of high incidence of fire and disease transmission. To protect the safety of students, prevent all kinds of accidents and create a safe campus environment. Here, we would like to introduce you to some safety tips for autumn and winter, so take a look!

Keeping warm in the cold

Due to the change of seasons, the weather is unpredictable and dominated by cold weather, students should pay special attention to temperature changes, increase clothing at the right time and wear a hat and mask to prevent colds. It is also important for students to exercise to strengthen their bodies and immune system to prevent the spread of diseases.

Disease transmission

Common infectious diseases in autumn and winter include influenza, chickenpox, and rubella, which are mainly spread by droplets. In daily life, it is important to keep a distance when talking to people, wear a mask when going to crowded places, maintain indoor hygiene, ventilate more often, wash hands regularly, avoid staying up late, ensure sufficient sleep, and actively engage in physical exercises such as running and long jumping, which can enhance physical fitness; eat a light diet and avoid spicy and stimulating foods such as hot pot and barbecue.

In addition, the epidemic situation is still serious and one person with abnormal nucleic acid test results was found in Dawa District, Panjin City at 19:00 on 10 October. Students not only need to wear masks, ensure personal hygiene and wash their hands regularly on campus but also need to order takeaways as little as possible to reduce contact with off-campus food.

Fire and electricity prevention

The dormitory is where students live and its safety is very important. It is important to keep fire and electrical discharge safety in mind at all times, and the following safety elements must be memorized.

1. Do not pull electrical wires indiscriminately.

2. Do not store flammable and explosive substances.

3. Do not use electric heaters, stoves, rice cookers, frying pans, induction cookers, electric heating cups, electric kettles, and other electric heating appliances in student residences.

4. Do not remove, relocate or increase the power supply lines and facilities in the dormitories without permission, and do not damage the power supply trunking (boxes) and power supply cables in the buildings.

5. Do not use "three no's" (no Chinese label, no factory name, no factory address), substandard products, poor quality products, and homemade electrical equipment. Turn off the lights and power when you leave, and turn off the power when you have finished using all kinds of electrical equipment.
